Below are the activities done in class today. Only periods 1 and 6 were able to
get the listening activity done, so periods 4 and 7 will be taking it tomorrow.
Also, everyone will be taking the Reading quiz on Saber and Conocer tomorrow
as well.

Start with Activity H on page 136, then do the rest on page 137. Please
read directions.

Below are notes you will need to add to page 15 for your verb
sheets. Make sure to really know the difference between knowledge
and understanding. If you still don't get the notes below, please ask
a classmate or me.

Rules for Saber and Conocer:

Saber: knowledge

------> to know: 1. information or facts about something/someone

2. how to do something

**The "yo" form of saber (sé) can never be left alone:

Positive: Sí, lo sé.

Negative: No lo sé.

Conocer: understanding

--------> to know: 1. how to take knowledge and apply it to a complicated

or abstract idea.

2. a person: as in met them (use the personal "a" after it).

3. a place: as in been there.

Forms:

Saber: to know

Yo sé

Tú sabes

Él/Ella/Ud. sabe

Nosotros/as sabemos

Vosotros/as sabéis

Ellos/Ellas/Uds. saben

Conocer: to know

Yo conozco

Tú conoces

Él/Ella/Ud. conoce

Below are the workbook pages for today, make sure to follow the directions
for each section.

Below is the Section E again, you will need to rewrite the sentences that
you did again for Section E but with subject pronouns, direct object pronouns,
and prepositional object pronouns. Not all of them will have a change.
Also, remember that you will need to demonstrate different ways to add
direct objects to the sentence throughout the activity.
